About fifty fruit trees rain with snow-covered trees, powered by solar energy, which can be seen from the hermitage of Sant Joan de Carratalà.
The City Council of Aitona promotes this Nadal a new and original initiative of the most of the Fruiturisme project: the “Fruiturisme lluminós”. This action - pioneering in the territory - consists of enable Nadalenca illumination in fifty trees of the fruiter camps of the municipality so that in puguin gaudir all the veïns and veïnes and visitors during the Nadalenques festivities.
These trees are il·luminats with solar energy and you can contemplate both an excellent panoramic view after the sun sets, since the illuminated trees are located at the foot of the’hermitage of Sant Joan de Carratala. Therefore, the goal of the council is to donate continuously annually to this initiative and invites all residents of the municipality to participate in lighting some of its trees.
Rosa Pujol, mayor of Aitona, emphasizes the pioneering and sustainable character of this initiative and progress that “"Actions with these help to consolidate the innovative and sustainable character of the Fruiturisme project, which does not incorporate new activities. This Nadal will be able to guide Aitona with two new initiatives that we hope will have a long journey and we are convinced that they will be a complete success"”.
In this sense, the “Fruiturisme luminós” will join these days to the celebration of the first “Nadal dolç d'Aitona”, an event that will take place this December 23rd at the Plaça de l'Església.
