And few towns can boast two blessed individuals and one saint.
Aitona, Cradle of Saints is an ambitious initiative that aims to showcase the incomparable heritage linked to the religious aspect of Aitona, a small treasure that has left unique marks on the urban and rural landscape of Aitona, such as the Cave of Father Palau, the first Asylum House founded by Saint Teresa Jornet, the hermitage of Saint John of Carratalà or the birthplaces of Father Palau and Saint Teresa Jornet.
It follows in the footsteps of Saint Teresa of Jesus Jornet and the blessed Francesc Palau and Josep Camí, first-rate religious figures who, with their mark, left a unique spiritual heritage in Catalonia.
